ABOUT BIDDICK'S BAKERY
Biddick’s Bakery is proudly owned by Preston Biddick, where he is joined by his wife Natasha Biddick. Hailing from New Zealand, Preston completed his training in bread, pastry and cakes – something that is not very common these days – and spent a number of years in both small and large-scale bakeries in New Zealand, taking on management roles and perfecting his craft.
After moving to Australia, Preston worked for both large-scale franchises and small start-up boutique bakeries, before taking a break from baking to work in management in the construction industry. After 12 years working on some of the biggest construction projects in Melbourne, and the COVID-19 pandemic, it was time for Preston to return to what he is passionate about – great-tasting, freshly baked bread and pastries!
Owning and operating his own bakery had always been something that Preston wanted to do and after the challenging times we all faced during COVID, it was the right time to trust his instinct and his knowledge of baking– and Biddick’s Bakery, Warrandyte was officially opened in July 2022, and with the success of the Warrandyte store, Preston decided it was time to expand the business and Biddick's Bakery, Macleod opened in May 2024.

We were honoured to be named as finalists in the 2023 and 2024 Australian Small Business Champion Awards! Whilst we didn't win, with over 4,500 entries, it was amazing to be recognised as finalists. We couldn’t do it without our amazing team and the support of the local community.

SOUR DOUGH SATURDAYS
Every Saturday, Biddick’s Bakery offers a range of freshly baked, authentic sourdough bread. Made from their own sourdough starter, the process commences every Wednesday so that the result is amazingly tasty bread.
